1. [Nanhai City, Guangdong Province] Qi Fengqiong Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
2. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Wang Caixia Arrested and Detained
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tian Xiu’e Arrested and Detained
4. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Mu Arrested
1. [Nanhai City, Guangdong Province] Qi Fengqiong Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
Qi Fengqiong (gender unknown) from Yanbu Town was arrested on March 10, 2023 and sent to the Nanhai Detention Center. Qi was arrested again on May 6, 2023. During the arrest, multiple police blocked the surrounding streets. Qi was secretly tried in court on November 30, 2023, sentenced to four years in prison and fined 40,000 yuan.
2. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Wang Caixia Arrested and Detained
Ms. Wang Caixia was arrested and detained for six months.
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tian Xiu’e Arrested and Detained
Ms. Tian Xiu’e from Gaofangzi Village of Dayou Township was arrested at her home by officers from the Jianye Township Police Station on December 28, 2023. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. Ms. Tian was detained for 15 days.
4. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Mu Arrested
Ms. Mu from Wanglian Sub-district was arrested by officers from the Tengjia Police Station when she distributed information about Falun Gong in the Tengjia Market on the morning of January 23, 2024. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Mu was released, but was summoned to the police station next day.
