(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held a march on September 28 in Montreal to celebrate the 430 million Chinese people who quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations and to call for an end to the suppression. Many people spectators showed support and encouraged practitioners to continue their efforts.
Ms. Yang, who organized the activity, said the movement started after the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published in late 2004 and more than 436 million Chinese people have now renounced their memberships in the CCP and its affiliated organizations, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers. Over the years, an increasing number of Chinese people have recognized the brutal nature of the CCP and decided to sever their ties to the regime.
Starting from Cabot Square, the march passed through Rue Sainte-Catherine as well as Old Montreal before reaching Place d’Armes, a public square where a rally and group practice was held.

Ms. Yang said the CCP’s downfall is inevitable.
It’s a major event for more than 430 million people to withdraw from the CCP organizations, explained Ms. Yang. This means nearly one third of Chinese citizens have chosen to stop siding with the Party.
She said this is because the CCP has ruled China with brutality and lies since the regime took power in 1949. It requires elementary students to enroll in the Young Pioneers and secondary school students have to join the Youth League. They have to vow to devote their lives to the Party.
Since the CCP destroyed traditional values and recklessly slaughtered Chinese people, its downfall is inevitable, added Ms. Yang. She hopes more people can learn the facts and stop blindly following the CCP on a path of no return.
Mr. Pan came from Tianjin, China several months ago. He was excited to see the march and said the victims of the CCP’s atrocities are not limited to Falun Dafa practitioners. His family suffered miserably for three generations.
During the so-called “Public-Private Partnership” in the 1950s, the CCP confiscated his grandfather’s business. After the Cultural Revolution began in 1966, officials took away the rosewood furniture along with gold and silver treasures from his father. The CCP only compensated the family 2,000 yuan. Mr. Pan spent all his money and bought a house worth over one million yuan. Although the city and district governments approved the developed area earlier, officials later labeled it an “illegal building” and it was demolished. Mr. Pan lost all his money and had no place to appeal.
He said he could understand what Falun Dafa practitioners suffered and said, “The CCP is doomed.” Because of his family, he was not allowed to join the CCP’s Young Pioneers. When officials later invited him to join the Party he declined, having suffered so many CCP-caused tragedies.
Ida (left) said everyone should help end the crime of organ harvesting in China.
When the march passed Rene-Levesque Boulevard, French tourist Ida and her niece read every banner carefully. After learning how the CCP mistreated Falun Dafa practitioners, she encouraged them to do more to expose the suppression, especially the forced organ harvesting.
“I was shocked by this – how could people be killed for their organs? I hope there are events like this in France and every city, so that people will know what is going on,” she said. “Right now, the crime is still covered up. We should publicize it so more people can help end the tragedies.”
Nicolas praised practitioners for their courage.
Nicolas, another French tourist, said he was surprised to see so many Chinese people participating in an event to expose the CCP’s brutalities. He said few people in the West know what the CCP does and it is important to tell people about these atrocities.
Jamie from Montreal said he was impressed by how peaceful Falun Dafa practitioners are. When he heard that more than 430 million Chinese people quit the CCP, he said it was the correct decision since the CCP lied to, tortured, and killed its own people.
Paul Akuchie said he was happy to join the celebration.
Paul Akuchie from Algeria followed the procession and took many pictures. “I am very happy to learn that so many Chinese people have separated themselves from the CCP and regained their freedom,” he said. “I want to join the celebration because it is a good example of how to oppose brutality peacefully. Please keep it up.”
