(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners from Kumamoto, Kyushu Island quietly gathered in front of the Chinese Consulates in Fukuoka and Nagasaki on Chinese New Year’s Eve. They were there to appeal to the international community to call for an end to the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) persecution of Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong).
Falun Dafa practitioners peacefully gathered in front of the Chinese Consulates in Fukuoka and in Nagasaki on February 9, 2024 and called for the persecution of Falun Dafa in China to end.
Practitioners held banners and boards with the messages, “Falun Dafa Is Good,” “Stop Persecuting Falun Gong Immediately,” and “Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong.”
Many people stopped and read the practitioners’ information. Some drivers stopped, rolled down their windows and accepted truth-clarification pamphlets from practitioners. When evening came, practitioners lit candles to commemorate their fellow practitioners who died as a result of the persecution in China.
For the past 25 years, practitioners around the world have held peaceful activities to tell people about the human rights abuses taking place in China. An increasing number of people in the international community now know the facts about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa, and they condemn the CCP’s atrocities.
An 83-year-old practitioner said, “I started practicing Falun Dafa in 2004. I gained good health and I know the principles of being a good person from practicing Falun Dafa. Falun Dafa is very beneficial to society. For 19 years, I’ve come to the Chinese Consulate on Chinese New Year’s Eve to call for an end to the persecution. I hope Falun Dafa practitioners in China can reunite with their families as soon as possible.”
Another practitioner participates in the activity with her two children every year. She said, “Children look forward to the holiday because they can spend time with their family. Practitioners’ families in China are broken apart due to the CCP’s persecution. Some children are now orphans. Some practitioners have been persecuted to death, and the CCP harvests organs from practitioners while they are alive.
“I participate in this peaceful activity in the hopes that this unprecedented persecution will soon end. I express my condolences to the practitioners who were persecuted to death and pay my respects to those practitioners [in China] who continue to risk their lives to spread the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution. We will continue say ‘No to the CCP’ as long as the persecution continues. This persecution needs to end immediately. I will continue exposing the CCP’s lies against Falun Dafa and tell people about the CCP’s true nature. I hope more people will come to know how wonderful Falun Dafa is.”
