(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to participate in a grand event to celebrate Chinese New Year at the Living World Mall in Denpasar, Bali, on February 10, 2024. They gave waist drum and dance performances and the Tian Guo Marching Band played during the “Week Special Event.”
The Living World Mall is the biggest shopping mall in Bali. Traditional Balinese culture is reflected in it’s architecture, facilities and infrastructure.
Practitioners helped usher in Chinese New Year by performing during an event at the Living World Mall on February 10, 2024.
The celebratory event was held from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. in the amphitheater which holds up to 500 audience members. The venue was filled to capacity before the show started. Young Falun Dafa practitioners performed a Phoenix dance and the Tian Guo March Band performed eight pieces.
Kadek, from Gianyar Regency, a Indonesian province, said it was the first time he saw the Tian Guo Marching Band perform. He smiled and moved in time to the marching band’s rhythm. He said that he admired all the pieces the band performed and he could feel positive energy.
A large family said they enjoyed the practitioners’ performances. Two children happily mimicked the dance moves. They did not leave after the show ended and took many pictures on their cellphones.
Audience members receive informational flyers about Falun Dafa and learned about the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution.
Practitioners distributed flyers to audience members and told them that practitioners in China are persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) because they practice Falun Dafa. Many people said they were interested in learning more about Falun Dafa.
An 82-year-old man and his wife said that they had heard about Falun Dafa and they began reading Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Dafa, and asked where the nearest practice site was.
Okta (right) hopes that more people will hear about the CCP’s crimes of live organ harvesting.
Okta works in the medical field and enjoyed the practitioners’ performances. When she heard that the CCP harvests organs from Falun Dafa practitioners while they are still alive, she said, “I am saddened and shocked to hear this.” She said she knew for a long time that human organs could be obtained quickly in China, but she did not understand how China always had readily available organs for transplant surgeries, and said, “People must know about forced live organ harvesting to avoid participating in this illegal activity.”
