(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 5 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Gao Yong and Ms. Ma Yanqin Arrested
2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Detained
3. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Hu Jing and Her Son Harassed
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zheng Jinwen Released
1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Gao Yong and Ms. Ma Yanqin Arrested
Mr. Gao Yong and his wife, Ms. Ma Yanqin, visited their daughter in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, before Chinese New Year. They were arrested by Zhengzhou police several days after they arrived. Mr. Gao was released. Ms. Ma’s situation is unknown.
2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Detained
A female practitioner, in her 50s, rented and stayed in an apartment near Haibo River. Her name may be Chen Lianhua. She was arrested about a month ago and is being held in the Pudong Detention Center.
3. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Hu Jing and Her Son Harassed
Ms. Hu Jing was sentenced to three years in prison and was released in December, 2020. Officers from her local police station called her son in December every year after her release. They said they would visit her at home. Her son was frightened and refused their visit. They ordered him to take a photo of Ms. Hu and send it to them.
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zheng Jinwen Released
Ms. Zheng Jinwen from the No. 8 Farm in the Caofeidian District, was released from the Shijiazhang Women’s Prison on December 16, 2023 after she was incarcerated for four and a half years.
