1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Lixia Sentenced to Five Years in Prison

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Lixia Sentenced to Five Years in Prison
Ms. Wang Lixia was sentenced to five years in prison. She was taken to Changchun Women’s Prison on January 25, 2024.
2. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Liying and Ms. Zhang Miao Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Liu Liying was sentenced to four and a half years in prison, and Ms. Zhang Miao (also known as Zhang Honghua) was sentenced to three years in prison. Both women were taken to the Prison Admission Section of a women’s prison for “training.”
3. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Guojun Arrested
The Gaoping District Police Department called Ms. Deng Guojun on the afternoon of January 22, 2024, and told her to go to the police department the following day. She was arrested as soon as she arrived. She was taken to the hospital, and her blood pressure readings were very high. Further information is pending.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Yajun Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Wang Yajun from the Jiutai District was tried on January 8, 2024, and sentenced to four years in prison. Mr. Wang is in poor health and has some difficulty walking. He is being held in the Changchun City No. 1 Detention Center in Xinglongshan Town.
5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Shi Zhenduo Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Shi Zhenduo, 69, was sentenced in August 2022 to one year in prison, but the sentence was suspended for one year. After completing his sentence, he was arrested again on November 22, 2023, by Changan Police Station officers in the Dadong District for refusing to write a “transformation” statement. He is being held in Yuhong District Detention Center.
On November 24, 2023, the Yuhong District Court issued a verdict sentencing Mr. Shi to one year in prison and fining him 5,000 yuan. He has appealed.
6. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Jiayu Arrested
Ms. Jiang Jiayu, 68, from Xiaogan Township in the Jingyang District was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong near the Luohe Residential Community on the morning of January 13, 2024. She was arrested by officers from the Donghu Township Police Station.
At the station, the officers body searched her and rummaged through her bag. They confiscated more than 450 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them, three copies of Master’s recent writings, one copy of the Nine Commentaries, four amulets, and eight pendants.
The police ransacked her home and confiscated four photos of the founder of Falun Gong, one copy of Zhuan Falun, three desk calendars, two wall calendars, and New Year paintings of blessing babies displayed in her living room, among other items.
Around 10 p.m. that night, Ms. Jiang was interrogated in the police station. The police brought up 13 charges and wanted to detain her for 13 days. Ms. Jiang did not admit to the charges and refused to sign any paperwork. The police took samples of her blood and let her go after midnight.
