(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

6. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Ping’an Harassed
7. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Liyu Harassed
8. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Jing and Ms. Li Xianghong Sentenced to Prison
9. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wang Xiangfu Arrested
1. [Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Tried in Court
Three practitioners including Ms. Ye Xiuping were arrested in Renhua County in September 2023. Ms. Ye was sent to the Shixing County Detention House and the other two were sent to the Renhua County Detention House. They were tried by the Zhenjiang District Court and may face prison sentences. Their family members were not allowed to visit them.
2. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Song Dianhong was arrested in Dongchang District on the morning of March 1, 2024. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder and other personal belongings. She is currently detained in a brainwashing center next to the drug rehabilitation center in Tonghua City.
Five other practitioners were arrested on March 1, 2024. They are Ms. Liu Xiaoyan, Ms. Sun Xiaona, Mr. Qu Xiaofei, Ms. Zhou Hong, and a practitioner surnamed Xu.
Ms. Cheng Sumei and Ms. Ge, both from Liuhe County, were arrested and taken to the Tonghua City Detention Center.
3. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Yamin Released
Ms. Li Yamin was arrested on November 7, 2019 and was later sentenced to three years in prison. She was incarcerated in the Zouma Women’s Prison before she was released on November 6, 2023.
4. [Mian County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Chen Huiying Released
Ms. Chen Huiying, around 80, was sentenced to one year in prison. She was detained in the Zhenjiang City Women’s Prison in Jiangsu Province before she was released on February 21, 2024. Afterwards, she was taken back to Mian County.
5. [Yichun City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liu Meiren Detained and Harassed
Ms. Liu Meiren was arrested by officers from the Chengbei Police Station in Gao’an City in March 2022 for distributing information about Falun Gong. She was detained for 10 days.
Ms. Liu received a harassing call from the Lanfang Town Police Station on the morning of March 1, 2024. Four people, including police officers from the Gao’an City and Lanfang Town Police Stations, and the head of the Xingren Village CCP Committee, came to her home to harass her that afternoon.
6. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Ping’an Harassed
Mr. Zhang Ping’an, 70, lives in Shuanglongqiao Village, Hengshan Town, Anju District. He was harassed at home by several people including Luo Yong, the village CCP committee head, on January 17, 2024. They photographed him.
7. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Liyu Harassed
Ms. Huang Liyu was recently harassed at home by officers in Mazhang District. The police threatened her and said they would return if she refused to sign certain documents.
8. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Jing and Ms. Li Xianghong Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Li Jing and Ms. Li Xianghong, both from Liquan County, were sentenced to four and a half years in prison and four years in prison, respectively, by the Qindu District Court on February 20, 2024. They were each fined 10,000 yuan.
9. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wang Xiangfu Arrested
Mr. Wang Xiangfu, around 50, from the Hongdu Community was arrested at home by officers from the Hongdu Police Station on March 2, 2024. He was seen on surveillance cameras removing posters that slandered Falun Gong. The police ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and money imprinted with information about Falun Gong. Mr. Wang was handcuffed and interrogated in the police station for about six hours. His son posted bail for him that evening.
