(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Jun Tried in Court
2. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yang Lijun Arrested
3. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Ding Shuying Has Been Detained for Nine Months
4. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Feng Detained
5. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Peimei Arrested
6. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yingru Detained
7. [Changzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Fengrong and Ms. Jin Yue Arrested
8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qiu Liying Detained
1. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Jun Tried in Court
Mr. Zhao Jun was tried in the Aimin District Court on the afternoon of April 12, 2024. He defended himself, pleaded not guilty, and delivered his opinion on the virtue and the right to practicing Falun Gong. Judge kept interrupting his defense. He is under house arrest.
2. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yang Lijun Arrested
Mr. Yang Lijun was arrested at his home in Dapu County on the evening of April 18, 2024. His home was ransacked. His whereabouts are unknown.
3. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Ding Shuying Has Been Detained for Nine Months
Ms. Ding Shuying of Nong’an County, 58, was arrested in her apartment in Changchun City by officers from Baicheng City on July 13, 2023. She has since been held in Baicheng City Detention Center. Her situation is unknown.
4. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Feng Detained
Ms. Liu Feng was arrested on the afternoon of April 14, 2024, when she was on her way to a community to deliver Falun Gong flyers. She was put into the Yingkou Detention Center on the morning of April 15, 2024.
5. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Peimei Arrested
Ms. Xu Peimei, a resident in Dongtuan Village, was arrested at home on the morning of April 16, 2024.
6. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yingru Detained
Ms. Wang Yingru was arrested by officers from the Jianzhuang Township Police Station on February 26, 2024. She is being held in the Handan City No. 3 Detention Center.
7. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Fengrong and Ms. Jin Yue Arrested
Ms. Ma Fengrong lives in Guyuean Village, Daguanting Township. She was arrested by officers from the Cangzhou Criminal Brigade and the local police station on April 17, 2024. She was released.
The same day, officers from the Daguanting Township Police Station and Chenyu village brigade secretary Luo Xiangsong went to villager Ms. Jin Yue’s home. They seized her Falun Gong books, printers, printer paper, and other items. They took her away while her three young children screamed and wept, and her mother-in-law appealed to them. Ms. Yue’s whereabouts are unknown.
8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qiu Liying Detained
Four or five plainclothes officers from the Zhentou Police Station in Qiaoxi District went to Ms. Qiu Liying’s home on the morning of April 17, 2024. They turned off power to her home from outside. When she went out to check, they rushed into her home, ransacked the place, seized a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, computers, and other items. She was arrested and sent to the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center.
