(Minghui.org) On May 7, 2024, the New York State Senate passed Resolution 2354, “Commemorating the 25th Annual World Falun Dafa Day Celebration, to be observed on May 13, 2024.” This is the twelfth year in row that the New York State Senate has passed a resolution in recognition of World Falun Dafa Day.
The resolution was sponsored by Senator Dean Murray of New York State’s 3rd District and co-signed by Senators James Tedisco and Peter Oberacker.
New York State Senate Resolution to commemorate Falun Dafa Day
The resolution reads, in part, “Many of those who participate in World Falun Dafa Day celebrate the teachings which have brought physical health, joy, and peace of mind to millions of people across the globe throughout the entire week.”
“In 1996, Falun Dafa was introduced to New York, and has since grown to include hundreds of practitioners who can be found throughout the tri-state area offering workshops in senior centers, corporate offices, health clubs, private residences and police stations at no cost to the participants.”
“Today, Falun Dafa is practiced and cherished by millions of people and has received over 3000 awards.”
