(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 76 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Over 50 Practitioners Arrested
The Qiqihar City Domestic Security Division and police stations, in a coordinated campaign, arrested over 50 practitioners in the city on May 12, 2024.
It was reported that five practitioners including Ms. Wang, were arrested in Tiefeng District. The police opened the door with a key and entered the house, arrested the practitioners on the spot. They confiscated computers, supplies, cash and other items. Later, one of the practitioners was released on bail for health reasons and was taken home by his family. The other four were taken to a detention center.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners’ Cases Brought to Court
Ms. Xu Wenying, Wang Hong, Ms. Huo Ping, and Ms. Sun Xiuqin were arrested by officers from the Harbin Railway Domestic Security Division on December 13, 2023. Their cases have been brought to the Harbin Railway Transport Court.
3. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Wei Arrested
Ms. Liu Wei talked to people about Falun Gong about 10 days ago, and she was arrested at home on May 12, 2024.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Su Yan Arrested
Ms. Su Yan was arrested at home by officers from the Dongsheng Police Station on the evening of May 9, 2024. Her printer and other personal items were confiscated. She is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center.
5. [Yichun City, Province] Ms. Zhang Shuqin Arrested
Ms. Zhang Shuqin was arrested in Tangwanghe District and taken to the Tangwanghe Police Station on the morning of May 9, 2024. Further information is pending.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Caiyan Arrested
Ms. Sun Caiyan was arrested and her home was ransacked on May 13, 2024. Further details are not available.
7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Yanling Arrested
Ms. Yu Yanling from Lushunkou District was arrested while distributing Falun Gong materials around 11 p.m. on May 9, 2024. Her specific circumstances are unknown.
8. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Qiuyu Arrested
Ms. Chen Qiuyu was arrested and her home was ransacked on May 13, 2024. The police said they monitored her for six months.
9. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zheng Xuejun and Ms. Yuan Yinying from Rongcheng District were arrested by officers from the Ronghua Police Station and the Dongsheng Police Station on May 9, 2024. Their homes were ransacked. That evening, the officers arrested Ms. Lin Jieshan and ransacked her home. Ms. Zheng and Ms. Yuan are being held in the Jieyang City Detention Center. Ms. Lin was released a day later.
10. [Tai’an City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaoyun Taken to Detention Center
Seven or eight officers from the Shengzhuang Police Station in Taishan District broke into 66-year-old Ms. Zhang Xiaoyun’s home and ransacked the place on August 24, 2023. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, over 40 Falun Gong books, a computer, a printer, USB flash drives, and audio players.
Ms. Zhang was taken to the police station, where they forcibly collected her fingerprints. She was then taken to the Tai’an City Detention Center and held there for seven days.
On April 9, 2024, officer Shi Rulong, from the Shengzhuang Police Station, and a female police officer, led by the property management personnel of Lushang Residential Community, went to Ms. Zhang’s home to search the place. They did not find anything they were looking for. When they pressured her to sign paperwork, she refused.
11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xu Lixiu Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Xu Lixiu from Xujiapeng Sub-district was arrested on November 25, 2023. She was secretly held in a brainwashing center. She was later secretly sentenced to one and a half years in prison. She is being held in Hongshan Prison in Wuhan City.
12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Tian Xiaohua Arrested
Ms. Tian Xiaohua from Balipu Sub-district was arrested at home on the evening of May 6, 2024. Her Falun Gong books, computer, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated. She was held in Weizigou Detention Center for 10 days.
Mr. Sun San was arrested on May 10. Further information is pending.
13. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Sifeng Arrested
Mr. Zhang Sifeng from Hanyang District was caught on surveillance cameras while distributing Falun Gong materials in Jiang’an District on April 10, 2024. Further details are not yet available.
14. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Zongshan and Wife Ms. Wang Jing Arrested
Ms. Wang Zongshan and his wife Ms. Wang Jing were recently arrested and taken to Bengbu City, Anhui Province, for selling Pyunkang-Hwan, a Korean nutritional supplement. It is not known where the couple is being held.
15. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Zenggang Arrested
Mr. Wang Zenggang from Zhifu District was arrested by four or five people at his workplace on May 9, 2024. Later, his printer and computer were confiscated from his home.
16. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jiang Hua and Ms. Yang Guixia Arrested
Ms. Jiang Hua and Ms. Yang Guixia lived in Sanhe City, Hebei Province. They were arrested in a grocery market in Yanjiao Town, Sanhe City, on the morning of April 24, 2024. Ms. Yang was detained for 10 days. Ms. Jiang was detained for 15 days, and she returned home on the morning of May 9.
17. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. He Hongjun and Wife Ms. Fu Wenhui Arrested
On the afternoon of May 11, 2024, Mr. He Hongjun and his wife Ms. Fu Wenhui from Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, were arrested with practitioner surnamed Lan at Lan’s home in Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, by the police who followed them. The police confiscated over 400,000 yuan in cash at the scene.
