(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Zhen Mingfeng and Ms. Wang Guirong’s trial is scheduled for June 3, 2024, in the Shouguang City Court. Ms. Wang’s family was threatened by Shouguang Domestic Security Division officers.
Ms. Ren Zhimei, 67, lives in the Baishazhou area. She was arrested on April 26, 2024, after someone reported her for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained for 15 days and was later taken to a brainwashing center. Her whereabouts is unknown.
Mr. He Pengfei was arrested by Mawei District Police Department officers on May 22, 2024. He is being held in the Fuzhou City No. 2 Detention Center.
Ms. Zhu Xixia of Daye City was arrested at her home on the morning of May 22, 2024. She is being held in the Daye Detention Center.
Ms. Gao Xinglan from the Changshou District was arrested by Yanjia Police Station officers on the evening of May 30, 2024.
Mr. Xu Yongqing appealed to the Zhejiang Province High Court.
Ms. Zuo Xiuyun was arrested by Jinan District Domestic Security Division officers on May 21, 2024. Her home was ransacked that day. The police seized her printers, computers, and books. She is being held in the Fuzhou City No. 2 Detention Center.
Ms. He Qiuhong was arrested at home by four officers from the Nanjie Police Station after 8:00 p.m. on May 21, 2024. They confiscated her Mp3 and Falun Gong printouts. She was held in the Gulou Police Department from May 22 to 27, 2024.
Mr. Lei Anxiang was taken away from home by several officers from the Dongfeng Road Police Station around 10:00 a.m. on May 29, 2024. They said a surveillance system caught him talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was interrogated by several officers. They eventually called his daughter to come take him home after 1:00 a.m.
Officers from Dingshengdong Police Station harassed many local practitioners from the end of April to early May, 2024. They went to Ms. Liu Jing’s home and forced her to sign papers. Her mother, 84, has been blind for many years and could hardly sit. She was also harassed.
Ms. Huo Shufeng and Ms. Li Junzhi, both in their 80s; Ms. Li Guiqin, in her 70s; Ms. Yang Xiumin; Ms. Liu Guiqin; Ms. Chen Huirong; and Ms. Tian Yuqin were also harassed. The police knocked on Ms. Xie Baofeng’s door three times a day. Her husband was very sick. He’d had several operations and was paralyzed and bedridden for four or five years. He cried, laughed, became agitated, and could not fall asleep whenever he was upset.
