(Minghui.org) On July 20, 2024, Falun Dafa practitioners in Kumamoto, Japan gathered in front of the Chinese Consulates in Fukuoka and Nagasaki. They held banners and informational boards, condemning the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 25 years of brutal persecution of Falun Gong. They called on the public to recognize the CCP’s destructive nature and work together to stop the persecution.
Practitioners peacefully protested in front of the Chinese Consulates in Fukuoka and Nagasaki and called for an end to the persecution.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a cultivation practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Since its introduction by its founder, Master Li Hongzhi, in China in 1992, millions have begun practicing, gaining health benefits and moral improvement. However, motivated by personal jealousy, Jiang Zemin, then leader of the CCP, initiated a crackdown on July 20, 1999. Since then, millions of practitioners have been persecuted, with many being tortured to death and some even having their organs harvested. Thousands of families have suffered immense pain over the 25-year persecution.
Practitioners read statements exposing and condemning the CCP’s 25-year persecution of Falun Dafa.
Over the past 25 years, practitioners have peacefully told the world the facts despite the CCP’s widespread slander. Through their persistent efforts, more and more people have come to understand the persecution and have condemned the CCP’s crimes.
On July 20, the U.S. State Department issued a statement calling on the CCP to stop persecuting Falun Gong and to release all those detained for their beliefs. The statement reads: “For 25 years, the CCP has targeted Falun Gong practitioners and their families with abuse and human rights violations. Today, on the 25th anniversary of the CCP’s persecution, we solemnly commemorate those who have been tortured, killed, or had their organs harvested by the CCP.”
