(Minghui.org) The Korean Minghui Camp was held near the Jangtaesan Recreational Forest in Daejeon from August 1 to 3, 2024. Eleven teachers tended to twenty children ranging from five-year-olds to ninth graders. Several parents also participated in the camp. Throughout the three days, campers learned the Falun Dafa principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance through a series of colorful activities.

The Korean Falun Dafa Minghui Camp was held near the Jangtaesan Recreational Forest in Daejeon from August 1 to August 3, 2024.

Besides reading the book Zhuan Falun and doing the Falun Dafa exercises, the curriculum also included story reading, calligraphy, traditional Korean games, songs, movies, and other activities. Parents and their children wrote letters to each other, expressing their sincere thoughts. On the morning of the last day, children fixed breakfast for their parents. They developed a closer bond with each other through these activities.

Children shared their feelings at the end of the camp. Among the many comments, campers said, “Thank you, teachers! You’ve worked hard to prepare our meals!” “I’m so happy be here! I would like to come back again.” “I like the meals and the songs, and enjoyed the time with other kids!” “I hope to always remember Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and follow them in my life.” “It’s great to study the Fa and learn new things! I’ll do my best to cultivate myself diligently!”

Nam Yunseo, the oldest camper, helped the teachers and took care of the younger children. She said, “It’s great to meet other kids who I can talk to about Falun Dafa! I’d like to come back as a volunteer.”

Mrs. Han Jiyoung said, “I’ve practiced Falun Dafa since 2018. There was no Minghui camp at that time. I decided to join when I heard about the camp this year. It’s a great opportunity for us to communicate with other practitioner parents and their children. I hope all children will keep Falun Dafa’s principles and Master in their mind and become genuine cultivators.”

Mrs. Im Soo-jung said, “This is the first time my daughter has attended a Minghui camp. We are grateful for this precious opportunity! My daughter told me, ‘Mom, we’ve come to the right place! It’s fun!’”

Minghui Camp coordinator Mrs. Choi Young-sook, said the last camp was held eight years ago, and this year’s camp was held thanks to everyone’s hard work. She was happy to see young practitioners and their parents establish a connection with their peers through the camp. “The camp has allowed us to stress education and plant the seeds of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in children’s hearts. We hope to hold the camp every summer.”
