(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 7 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Case Against Mr. Li Qingsheng Submitted to the Court
2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Geng Fuxia Tortured in Prison
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Hong Ying Arrested and Detained

5. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Gong Tiecheng Harassed
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ding Dongmei Harassed
7. [Liaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xu Zengchen Arrested and Detained
1. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Case Against Mr. Li Qingsheng Submitted to the Court
Mr. Li Qingsheng was informed at home by three staffers from the Shuncheng District Court on September 4, 2024, that the Shuncheng District Procuratorate had submitted his case to the court.
2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Geng Fuxia Tortured in Prison
Ms. Geng Fuxia from Qishuzhuang Town of Fengrun District was sentenced to eight years in prison in September 2021, but she was denied admission to the prison due to her high blood pressure. The police deceived her into going to the detention center on June 16, 2023, with the excuse of having a physical examination. She was detained on the spot and transferred to the Hebei Province Women’s Prison in Shijiazhuang City, the province’s capital, on September 8.
Ms. Geng is currently being held in the fourteenth ward. The inmates there beat her so severely that her body became covered with bruises. They also brushed her mouth with a toilet brush. The vegetables were taken away from her meal every day. She is now emaciated.
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Hong Ying Arrested and Detained
Ms. Hong Ying, 74, was arrested at home by three officers from the Jinqianbao Police Station on May 6, 2024, and her home was ransacked. She has since been detained at the Changchun City Detention Center. Her family and her lawyer have not been allowed to visit her. She is now facing trial by the Chaoyang District Court.
4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Fengjie Arrested
Ms. Zhao Fengjie was arrested at home by officers from the Nanzhuanpan Police Station in Shenbei New District on the afternoon of July 3, 2024, and her home was ransacked. She was taken to a detention center but was denied admission since she did not cooperate in the physical exam. She was released at midnight. The police refused to return her cell phone and house key, which were confiscated from her.
Ms. Zhao was harassed at home by a community staff member on August 3, 2024. She refused to sign the statement renouncing Falun Gong when being pressured to do so. The residential committee called her family member ten days later, demanding that the family member sign the statement on her behalf.
5. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Gong Tiecheng Harassed
Mr. Gong Tiecheng, 83, was harassed at home by two officers from the Yanta District Police Department on the morning of September 4, 2024.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ding Dongmei Harassed
Ms. Ding Dongmei was released on May 12, 2024, after serving a 15-day administrative detention. Her father was dealt a blow of her arrest and detention. He passed away before being released.
Ms. Ding kept receiving harassing calls from the Zhoushuizi Police Station and Zhoufa Community since early August 2024, ordering her to go to the local community office to sign a guarantee statement promising to give up Falun Gong practice. It’s not clear whether she complied.
7. [Liaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xu Zengchen Arrested and Detained
Mr. Xu Zengchen, 75, from Wangjia Village of Longchang Town, was arrested at home by officers from the Bahui Police Station on August 30, 2024, for talking to people about Falun Gong. He has since been detained in the Liaoyang County Detention Center. Prior to his latest arrest, he has served a forced labor term and a four-year prison term, also for practicing Falun Gong.
