The Chinese state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience, including Falun Gong practitioners, became a focus of media attention during the 26th International Congress of The Transplantation Society in Hong Kong last week, something the Chinese government did not expect. A total of 883 Falun Gong practitioners were arrested and 171 harassed by authorities in June and July alone, for upholding their freedom of belief and exercising their right to seek justice under the law.
