Blood and DNA samples, and other biometric data were collected from over 100 Falun Gong practitioners arrested for their faith in the first half of 2021. While some of the information can be used for increased surveillance of practitioners, it is suspected that blood and DNA sampling will be entered into a nationwide organ matching database.
